Overview

KitchenOS is RODIAS’s proprietary restaurant management suite: outlet tracking, kitchen ticket displays, and digital billing on a lean web stack instead of brittle local POS hardware.

Challenge

Multi-outlet kitchens were losing orders during peak dinner rushes when legacy terminal networks blocked on slow relational writes. Managers lacked a single live view across branches, and hardware refresh cycles kept raising CapEx without fixing concurrency.

Approach

We chose a custom React operator UI over a WordPress or packaged POS theme, paired with a stateless API layer and WebSocket event pipeline for ticket fan-out. Branch clients cache safely during network drops and reconcile with central servers when connectivity returns — avoiding full-page reloads on the kitchen line.

Outcomes

On representative staging and early production loads: kitchen ticket propagation moved from multi-second refresh cycles to near-instant push updates; multi-outlet sync lag dropped on the order of ~40–45% versus the prior blocking POS workflow; mobile manager views stayed under ~2s LCP on mid-range Android. Exact figures vary by venue hardware and network — ask for a live KitchenOS walkthrough.
